Thirsty

Jun 19, 2008

I ran into an old friend the other day, on Facebook no less. We’ve known each other since he was 5 and I was 7 (which is a shockingly enormous amount of time ago). Went to the same church, same youth group, same summer camp, shared family dinners, you know the drill. Since the last time we were in touch, he’s been doing this thing called “play bass with Jars of Clay and go on tour for 9 years.” Now he works with the non-profit Jars of Clay began in 2004–Blood:Water Mission. Check it out. Their mission: provide clean water to those who don’t have any. Their goal: 1000 new wells. And they are well (wasn’t even trying for the pun there) on track.

Watch the video, but only if you want your perspective shaken up just a bit. I didn’t look at my faucet the same all day today.

By the way, you don’t have to just sit and watch. Maybe you could do something??? You never know … pray about it, think about it, but don’t close the door just yet.
