This, That and the Other

Feb 13, 2009

Yesterday was one of those days.

It all started when I got one of those letters, telling me this, which made me want to do this, and maybe even that. If you’re a writer, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Truth is, all I really needed at that moment was this. Instead, I felt this. My blue mood was on a roll, and I, being entirely childish and immature, succumbed to this. For heaven’s sakes.

Then, surprise of all surprises, when I least expected it (this couldn’t have been more perfect), I received one of these from her. And that changed everything.

Just goes to show, living is about showing this and loving these, isn’t it? Silly me. All that other stuff was just this, that and the other.

Sorry for that. But maybe this is more about who accepts us than it is about who rejects us. Too bad that is so hard to remember.
