Unplugged to be Present

Oct 20, 2009

I’m out of town this week. And although I considered continuing my normal blog posts while traveling, I’ve changed my mind. My iPhone-free self is trying (however poorly) to create more margin in my life for meaningful connection. That includes being in the moment and fully present with the people I’m with. And though I enjoy our bloggy friendship more than I can say, this week I need to invest my undivided attention in soon-to-be friends who have traveled a long ways to be the best communicators they can be.

So, unless something pressing or ridiculously exciting requires immediate posting (perhaps, for instance, the fact that the Broncos won their SIXTH STRAIGHT last night???), I’ll see y’all next Sunday. If you want play-by-plays of all our excitement at DCW in Glorieta, NM, you can follow along on Twitter or Facebook.

Have a good week!

Margin. It is elusive. But, I think you have discovered the secret. Way to go!

Go Bronco’s. We were a little short on sleep the next day on this side of the nation. But it was worth it.

You know there is just something about sitting across from a person knowing you have their undivided attention. My mind is always going in a hundred different directions at any given second but there is a huge difference when I stop and focus on the person in front of me. Love you!
