I need this because I am one lost puppy when it come to platform. I have a message I believe in with my whole heart, and I want to shout it to the world. But who am I? I know God can use me, though. I believe He wants to. I think this book could be an excellent first step!

This book IS an excellent first step. You do have a message, Alisha, and I believe in you! Take a first step, then another, then another. Before you know it, you will have been on quite an adventure.

To build a village on a platform not about me … I aim to use my position, my passion, my perseverance and my klout score to change our culture’s mindset that abortion is better than adoption.

I have recently been struggling with the idea of my platform–what is it I am compelled to say? How do I best say it? This book sounds like a great fit for the need I have right now in defining this. Pick me! Pick me! 🙂

    Hello,
Your book sounds wonderful! I have recently started up an Enrichment Academy (all out of my own pocket) for the children here in the Socorro area. Our local schools have removed all arts, sciences, music, etc…. and now only focus on the TEST and those that they think stand a chance to pass it! They clearly have no clue as to how children learn and what they need to become successful, well-rounded, artistic, imaginative, thinking, critical problem solvers and this makes me physically ill and very SAD for our future!
I am working in a low income community where education is of little to no value and has been status quo for generations. I have a clear vision of what our youth need and I think that your book is exactly what I need to get heard in a noisy and very political environment. Please, oh please, oh pretty please pick me!
    Thank you,
    Demetria

Wow, what a huge (and important!) job you have ahead of you, Demetria. Removing art, music, and any kind of creative studies is devastating to our children–and our future! Good for you for advocating for them, for all of us.

Michele, as one of the pre-launch team members myself, I don’t need a free copy (but I guess I could always use another?). I am purchasing another copy today!

Anyway, I just wanted to support you in this great idea for a post. Wonderful job! Keep up the good work.

Like you, I know how powerful a book Platform is. There are so many areas in life where Platform can be utilized. As a pastor, I hope to apply about 15 dozen of the things I’ve learned in order to better communicate the gospel to those around me, via social media, written books, speaking, etc.

    Kudos to you!

You make a great point–as a pastor, you have a HUGE message to get out to as many people as possible. Platform is something you must consider and work toward building every day. THANK YOU for all you do!

“It’s not what you know, it’s what you do with what you know that counts!” One of my favorite all time quotes. I started my blog a little less than a year ago. I know that my content is purposeful and I truly enjoy being a messenger. Because I’m new to the world of marketing, publishing, etc. I must admit to being someone who had not considered platform building a journey until now. I am finally pursuing this call on my life and very interested in incorporating speaking. Effective Communication is my thing and I would be so pleased and honored to gain more knowledge in my endeavors! Thank you for this experience!

I’d love to win a copy of Platform! I believe it could help me do so much more through my personal platform. I’m on the tail end of funding the construction of a house in Guatemala through my blogging platform. If I could extend my platform, imagine what else could be built to help other people!

What an adventure, James! The unknown can be difficult, but it can also be freeing. Platform will help you learn how to spread your influence and impact, regardless of what position you end up landing in. And it will definitely help you as you prepare for whatever is next.

As a Christian/clean comedian and speaker, my biggest concern is how to get this message heard “you have a purpose and just because ‘life happens’ you have no excuse to not fulfill that purpose. Life happens to all of us, what are you going to do about it.” I would love a copy of this book, there has been a lot of buzz in my Christian Comedy circles. Mr. Hyatt has a great reputation and I will take any direction I can get. Thanks Michele.

As someone used to public speaking but newly surrendered to the ministry, I would use this book to strengthen the foundations I already have. I admit I do not know it all but I believe we can always learn something new if we have the right resources. The message that I have to share (the Gospel of Jesus Christ) is too important to not give it my best. Thank you for this opportunity and God Bless you in the coming days. SD

    Michele,

I’m interested in reading this book because I started a blog on my birthday this past December (Dec. 12) and I want to gain a larger platform for this blog. My blog, year27.com, is about Bible translation. I “doodle” a different verse each day to encourage others and raise awareness for the fact that there are people around the world who do not have the Bible in their own heart language. My goal is to raise awareness that becomes action through sponsoring Bible translation for a people group in South Asia. I want to translate the equivalent of the book of John (879 verses at $26/verse through OneVerse.org) for this people group (the Ehty people) before my birthday this year (12-12-12). We have translated over 100 verses already, but the halfway point of this year is coming and I am trying to learn how to reach more people with this need to get them involved. I think that this book would help to do just that. I want learn some specific ways that I can connect with a larger audience and also to provide quality content on a daily basis.

    Thanks for this opportunity!
    Jill

I want this book, because I would actually like to be able to give it away on my blog. I’ve already purchased the book for myself and taken advantage of the amazing bonus content Michael has offered. However, the audience of my site might not be as familiar with it and I would love to be able to run a promotion to give the book away for free and in all honestly, that’s what I want a copy and what I would do with it. Thanks so much Michele!

When I attended the SCORRE conference last October, you, Michael Hyatt, and my coach Curtis, encouraged me to take steps I never thought possible. I started a blog (thanks to your writing breakout), have spoken at a Ladies Retreat and a couple of ladies luncheons, and even dramatized Mary Magdalene (thanks Curtis) to a group of international ladies. God continues to confirm His call in my life to simply spill h.o.p.e (H.elp O.thers P.repare for E.ternity). I NEED this book to take the message God’s given me to the next level. Thank you for having a give-away!

I believe I’m right on the precipice and I’m hoping Michael’s book pushes me over the edge.So close.

    Michele:

This is the first time I have visited your blog. I actually just purchased Michael’s book on Amazon in order to get all the free stuff that comes along with it. But I’m entering this give-away for my son, Jonathan, who is 27-years-old, has recently started working for a small local company as their social media go-to guy. This has not historically been his area of expertise. He’s been picking things up as he goes and he is passionate about what he is doing. As his mother, I want to see him succeed, and I think that this book just might be what he needs to round out the “self-education” he’s been so diligent to give himself over the past couple of years. And I’m guessing that when my own book arrives, I’m not going to want to give it up….not EVEN to my son.

Jennifer, thanks for stopping by here. Nice to meet you! I think it’s great that you want to get a copy of Michael’s book for your son. But you’re right–it’s one of those books you’ll end up highlighting and going back to again and again. You probably won’t want to share it! 🙂

I have dreamed for years about writing, but have been too afraid to pursue it. I am at a crossroads in my life and have been asking God for direction. I have been offered two job opportunities in the last few weeks, but have not felt to move forward. A friend sent me a devotional this morning that talked about, of all things, “change!”

I don’t know where this will lead, but I am treading lightly, taking one step of faith at a time. If I don’t win the book, I will certainly be purchasing it.

    In Christ,

    Nydia

Hi, my friend! I’m glad you shared a little of your story here. The waiting and unraveling “What’s next?” is perhaps one of the most difficult parts of the process. One day at a time, one day at a time. No more, no less. You can do this! (Unfortunately, the book give away winners were announced a little over a week ago. The post is here: http://www.michelecushatt.com/announcing-the-platform-book-giveaway-winner/ )
