A couple months ago, Scot Longyear, Sr. Pastor at Maryland Community Church in Terre Haute, IN, interviewed me for his blog. During the interview, he asked me the following questions:
- Tell me about a time when you heard God the clearest.
- What do you do on a weekly or daily basis to hear from God?
- What do you sense He’s saying to you in the season you’re in right now?
- What advice would you give to people just starting their journey with God?
Some of the content is personal, which always makes me feel a bit exposed after it’s all said and done. But the subject is close to my heart, and important. I hope you like it. More than that, I hope you find God closer than ever before.
Michele,
Thanks for this; you’re a blessing.
we are in a frenzied place of release-and-trust. We have to make decisions “now” that are course-setting, but we don’t know even the potential location of our future. egad. We have three college kids home plus our two young ones! Your words of “one day at a time” are a great reminder for me today. I’ve learned many times to keep stepping and He will lead. How is it we forget so easily?? God’s got it. We enjoy the moment.
Thank you again,
suzy
Thank you, Suzy. Yes, He’s got it. Not a thing is out of His control, beyond His expectation. One day at a time, one moment at a time.
Michele,
Thank you for sharing your heart. I’m living in uncertain days of balancing life with a sick grandmother in the hospital, summer with three young girls, and working occasionally. I need your prayer, “God, Don’t let me miss You today.” I’m trying to live day by day, abiding (John 15). Thank you for the encouragement
Simply Stacy
It’s a prayer I have to pray again and again. Unfortunately, I’m easily distracted and miss Him too often! Thanks for sharing a piece of your journey, Stacy. John 15 is a great reminder.
Michele… Precious sister friend. Your beautiful heart is showing and the Spirit is sowing through you, as always. Thank you for sharing some of the raw footage of your life. Your words encourage and your authentic self casts glimmers of hope to so many. So proud of you. And hugs from Texas… Sharen
Thank you, Jesus, for overcoming grace. And thank you, Sharen, for your heart-filling encouragement. Appreciate you!
I experience time with God every day. He is always there, especially in the midst of chaos. What a wonderful topic you’ve explored. Thank you for sharing your heart and your light with the world.
Jessi, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I’m so glad you, too, have found God to be the constant in our chaos. He’s utterly unshakeable!
